About Me
- Name: Phil Cisneros
- Location: Los Osos, California, United States
As a former educator (taught every grade from kindergarten to college as well as having been a principal), I discovered the many paths to learning from my students. For many years, I reminded my students to always believe in your dreams and never give up. I started listening to my own advice and begin a journey of making sure I had fulfilled my own dreams and continue to support others in fulfilling theirs. My books and music are some of my fulfilled dreams of becoming a published author an entertainer and inspiring others through my writings and music. I also became a poet, entertainer and songwriter. I found that there is so much more to life than we know. I will continue live it fully and seek new adventures fearlessly. If you would like to order these books, e-mail me at phil@philcisneros.com Thank you!

Hay Chihuaha! You sure got a lot of books on the list. Makes me want to write my own books.
I have one brief essay called "La Tamaleada. " It is about a teenage girl who goes to visit her old grandma (who is a ghost) because she wants to learn how to make tamales. She finds out that making tamales is not just a cooking session, but a bonding a family event that takes place inside the kitchen (with the moms) and outside the kitchen (the husbands, who are working on a project (laying cement).
Then there's one I had published in LatinoLa about a trip to Evergreen Plunge in Boyle heights. Its the tale of a once a year trip to the pool, walking on hot pavement through gang territory, cooling off in the pool, having your money stolen by other kids ad arriving home thirsty and hungry.
